A man, watching a movie projected in his bedroom, discovers that his wife is having an affair with a golfer. At the same time, the silhouette of the woman appears mysteriously in the doorway. The knob of the stick she’s holding glints in the dark. The golfer on the screen focuses on his target. He raises his club and hits the ball. Sand flies. A glass falls in the bedroom, milk spills onto the floor. Has a murder been committed? Everything leads one to believe so. Everything... almost!

The title of this short film, The Bunker, refers to the sand trap, the obstacle on the golf course. But it also signifies the dark, secluded house where the couple is stuck. Like the ball in the sand trap, the woman, unsatisfied and feeling imprisoned, endeavors to escape from her golden jail. To this end, she imitates the golfer’s gestures. Hence, the symmetrical structure of the story parallels the actions of these two characters.

The place and time of the narrative are undefined. The Bunker is an atmosphere movie, suggesting more than describing. The enigmatic plot, with some details remaining obscure, allows many interpretations. May it stimulate the imagination!
